Savannah

Savannah is almost one now! We have had so much fun this year together. I have not been a good grandma and taken as many photos as I should have, so I took the opportunity yesterday and finally got a few quick ones. There is different editing on this since I spent oodles of time playing around with Xmas card making, and wanted to put this shot in the template. So here ya have it:

I'll keep this short and sweet. This is my play on a really big bright pink mushroom. Its Jessica Smith's mushroom shot, and my baby shot. Thanks Jess!! It was fun! Thanks Gavin- you fit right in there!

Kayla's hair cut

This weekend Grandma Marion came down and took Kayla to get her hair cut. Here she is modeling in her Nana's back yard. I was playing graphics queen again here and made this up as a gift to look like she is on a cover of a magazine. I can't help it- This is my passion!

Halloween kids

I had to volunteer as the neighborhood photographer this year. Here's a few from the evening. She was a little bumble bee, not so ready for sweetening up to the camera, but she sure is sweet!

Hudson's ducky day

After a very long time, I went back and shot a session at the duck park again. I had forgotten how much I loved photographing there. Tonight I get the pleasure of sharing little Hudson's cute personality and curiosity. I laugh every time I pull these up again on the computer. He was sooo much fun! Mom said I would be running around trying to catch him, but it really wasn't that way at all! In fact, even through those dark brown eyes, I still see the trees in the back ground, as he looked straight into my lens. Hudson is too cute. I can't stand it!! I applied a little antique finish to these and had to stop there, since I loved so many images from this session, I could play and play and play with different finishes.
This story board template came from a very nice photographer who shared it on the ILP forum. I don't usually use other designers templates, but this was a great way to archive our little play date and brotherly journey at the duck park. Thank you, Taylan Brooks, for that!

my lattest fav's

With the courtesy of Lisa Halloway's ( Arizona photographer) explanation of her set up, I set out to try for myself, on Gavin, who is now 4 weeks old. This week's shares are from playing with those.

In the meadow

I shot with a friend the other day in my favorite little meadow. I changed lens's a few times, and Mom was shooting too, so with the light going fast, I didn't get exactly what I had in mind, but here's a few I played with. I love my 200mm lens, but I can't seem to stand back far enough to get that full body shot. Practice makes perfect. I can't wait to go on over to that little peaceful place again soon!
Here's a few of Samara and Ethan.

Baby Boy

This is the first time little Hayden ( Little?) got his photographs taken.. I think for three months he's a very big boy!! Here's Mom's sneak peak. I had to post the funny one too. What a priceless expression!
This back ground paper came in handy! It has been a while since I used some of the papers I have made. Once I slow down, I will be adding some templates, brushes, etc. to my graphics blog too, so don't forget to check there for useful goods to compliment your photos!

A few recent photos

Boy oh boy, I am not the professional blogger, am I? Here are a few recent favorites. I love the rock/urn setting. I had not planned on using this back ground, but I knew it would come in handy sooner or latter. I will be working on these fantasy like portraits with other settings, soon. So heres some of my more current work, including a recent trip to the beach with the kids.

Moon Lighting

Still working here on fantasy moon portraits this week. Here is one from last week and I just added a few more.... PS-I have made these moon portraits my first signature line. All the art is done using separate photos I have shot of clouds on interesting cloudy days. The stars and space objects were used with Photo Shop brushes made by Stephanie from Obsidian Dawn. Stephanie is one hell of an artist! She has a lot of really great tutorials too, so if you love to play around with brushes and blends, visit http://www.Obsidiandawn.com

Oh what a face

I recently did head shots for an 8 year old girl and thought I would title her images as "Oh what a face", but Grandma Marion has this pooch following her around, which is where we spent our 4th of July, and I just had to photograph this little guy too! So I will be posting a bit backwards this week to catch up with blogging. Look for the official head shot post in a day or two!
Meet Oscar..

Little Man Blake

This little guy is always running around and I sweat every time I photograph him, praying I dont miss the shot. I followed him around playing hide and seek, watched him squish japaneese fruit from the tree, and then we got some quiet time finally in the corner of the yard... ahhh-perfect lighting-the connection at last! I am always shot after play time with Blake, but I just love him to death and I always end up adoring his photos. Editing is not quite finished, but here is a special sneek peak..

Just because

Sometimes I just see people I would love to photograph. This little girl just caught my attention so I managed to get my nerve up to ask if I could photograph her. Turns out she lives right in my neighborhood. Lucky me. It was so refreshing to be able to play around with seeing how she warmed up to the camera. Thanks so much little J. and Mom for allowing this session to take place! Here's a few from our session. The back ground of the park shows clearly in her eyes-The tree, the trail, a small child playing, and the grass! ( You may not be able to see it in the previews, but if you are a photographer, you know how exciting that is!)

Thank you Baby Joshua, your wonderful Mommy and Daddy, and Heather, for this opportunity. I can't wait to see you again! Here's a sneak peak of a few of these precious moments..

Nicole's Christening

Meet little Nicole. What an easy, adorable, just perfect little model she was! This was such a special event for Nicole and her family. She just turned one yr. old, plus they celebrated her christening. Editing is always fun for the moon prop! OK Mom- Here's your sneak peak at one of the artsy ones!

Savannah's new boppy

Just playing around a bit today. We are loving the way she can lift herself up to see whats going on. And I think she likes the boppie-My latest steal at one of the nicest garage sells I have ever been to. This boppie will come in handy for some other little ones. :)
